Collective payment products
Currence is owner of the collective uniform payment products iDEAL, iDIN, eMandates and Acceptgiro. Currence issues licenses and certificates to use these products, to banks and suppliers operating in the payment system in the Netherlands.
The Currence mission is to facilitate a competitive market and to create transparency in the uniform payment system in the Netherlands while preserving and continuing to develop the quality, security and efficiency of the uniform payment products.
Dutch account holders make use of several collective cashless payments such as Acceptgiro (the older Dutch credit transfer system), eMandates and iDEAL for online payments.
The payment system in the Netherlands is efficient, secure and rapid. It is a vital element in the Dutch economy and therefore of enormous importance to the functioning of society.
